In Transylvania, this species is located
only in the southern part of the region, usually at the upper part
of the slopes.

The image above is a comparison between
Aster linosyris (left) and Aster oleifolius
(right). Though congeneric and sharing the sa me character -
the lack of the ligulae - the two species are not immediate and not
even closely related in the context of the genus Aster. You
can easily spot the great differences between the two, especially in
concerning the structure of the anthodia.
